Complimentary Bus Shuttle Service  The Prairie Dog Central Railway may offer complimentary bus shuttle services for our guests who don't have a car.  To inquire about the availability of the Shuttle Bus, contact us by e-mail or call (204) 832-5259. 

 

STEAM Locomotive No. 3 is back on August 10th!

After a very long time being completely rebuilt from the frame up, one of North America's oldest operating coal-fired steam locomotives returns to service!  Engine No. 3 will be operated every Sunday or Holiday Monday from August 10
through to September 28.

 

All operations are subject to change or cancellation as required without notice or obligation and Diesel Locomotive can be substituted for Steam Locomotive if necessary.

The impetus for a National Grandparents Day originated in 1978 with Marian McQuade, a housewife in Fayette County, West Virginia.  Her primary motivation was to champion the cause of lonely elderly in nursing homes.  She also hoped to persuade grandchildren to tap the wisdom and heritage their grandparents could provide.
