When chartering the train we can travel to one of our two premium destinations as detailed below.

Ridgeway Heritage House

The Grosse Isle Heritage Village is the heart of the rural community of Grosse Isle and is where the train stops each weekend during the regular season. The site houses the 1886 beautifully restored Ridgeway Heritage House, The East Rosser 1 room School House, The Grosse Isle United Church, the old Gunton Station. The site has a 3 sided pavilion that can comfortably seat up to 300 people.

The volunteers at the Heritage Village can provide a light meal for your group. Menu items include for example hotdogs, smokies, sandwiches, chips, salad, fruit plus hot or cold drinks. The volunteers at the Heritage Village are extremely flexible and will work to your needs.

For more information please contact us.

The Grosse Isle Community Hall can comfortably seat up to 250 guests. The volunteers at the hall can provide made from scratch lunch and supper options including drinks and desserts. The community hall is a two-minute walk from the train stop.

Horseback Hold Up

Depending on availability, If you are looking to add some unique excitement then we can arrange an old-fashioned Horseback Hold Up! The train will be stopped by a bunch of horseback riders allowing their Sheriffs to board the train and look for the guilty charges. Depending on the size of your group you will choose a number of ‘hostages’ to be taken who will be put into the ‘jail’ at Grosse Isle or the Hitch ’n Post until you decide on how they will be released. This is a lot of fun for all ages and certainly something that will be talked about for many years to come! The cost of the hold-up is $550 plus GST.
